WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
I’m based out of Fresno, California. I can travel to your location depending upon scheduling availability. Travel fees do apply to locations outside of the Fresno county area.
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY IMAGES?
Standard turn around time for Horse and Rider sessions is up to 2 weeks. You will receive an email with a link to your online gallery where you can download your digital files and purchase any prints if desired.
WHAT CAN I GET PRINTED?
I offer a large selection of different types of prints and sizes including luster prints, metal prints, and canvas. Limited canvas sizing is listed on the purchasing options, but if the size you would like isn’t there, then feel free to let me know and I will work with you to get it.
HOW SHOULD I PREPARE MY HORSE?
I suggest that riders do whatever show preparation they would typically do on their horse for a competition; groomed, clipped, hoof polish, etc. Avoid excessive oil and show sheen so the oil won’t get on your clothes while standing with your horse. Tack is completely your preference, but I always encourage a clean bridle or leather halter.
I recommend riding horses the morning of your session or a good lunge before you start getting them ready. This will help get the fidgets out when it comes time to stand still.
HOW FAR IN ADVANCE SHOULD I TO BOOK?
I often book many sessions in advance, but do my best to accommodate immediate needs. Please feel free to contact me for availability.
BUT WHAT IF MY BARN DOESN’T LOOK GOOD?
Most Horse and Rider shoots are located where the horse is boarded as it is where they are most comfortable. You’d be surprised what beauty can be found at a barn or even on the nearby trails. However, there are many different locations to be found throughout Fresno and surrounding areas that can be hauled to for a great background.
WHAT DO I WEAR?
It’s important to keep things like the weather, personal features, and your horse’s color in mind when choosing your outfits. More than anything, choose clothes that reflect your own personal style and that you are comfortable in. The camera can tell when you’re uncomfortable in the clothes that you’re not used to wearing and it will reflect in your images.
CAN I STILL GET BLACK BACKGROUNDS DONE WITH A HORSE AND RIDER SESSIONS?
Black Backgrounds are always available to be added to your Horse and Rider session. We will shoot your horse’s portrait session before we start your Horse and Rider session.
HOW CAN I PAY?
Just as all sessions with me, I require a deposit to solidify your date! The remaining balance is due at the time of the session. I accept cash and credit through PayPal, (though cash is always appreciated) so feel free to use what is most convenient for you!
